National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) was founded by Government of India in 2005 to benchmark the quality of medical services of hospitals. DESUN is the youngest hospital in India to achieve NABH which till date has been achieve by a handful of hospitals of the standards of Escorts, Lilavati and Hinduja.
National Accreditation Board for Laboratories (NABL) like NABH is the “Gold Standard” for pathology laboratories awarded by the Govt. of India. Only DESUN in Kolkata has achieved NABL for over 1000 tests including Superspeciality tests using latest technologies like PCR, Immuno Assay, Flow Cytometry, etc.
Using latest Chemiluminescence technology this test indicates Average sugar level in blood over the last 90 days.
Superspeciality Test Cystatin-C
It shows abnormality of kidney even before it is detected through Creatinine for kidney function.
Superspeciality Test Insulin
This test is useful for diabetic patients. It is a marker for insulin resistance. Also assesses any abnormality in insulin production due to insulin secreting tumours, etc.
Superspeciality Test C-Peptide
This test is used to understand difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. This is the only test which can differentiate whether the diabetes of the patient is congenital (i.e. inherited) or predominantly due to life style.
