When the patient comes in for a normal or emergency cardiac check up, doctors having found something wrong either clinically or through investigation, advise a further probe through coronary angiography. Angiography results show either

(a) Lesion (blocks) are not significant enough for intervention and medical management is advised in consequence.
OR
(b) Lesion large enough, say over 60%, which require intervention through angioplasty or heart bypass surgery.

DCLA reduces the chances of restenosis of blocks after stenting and minimises repeat bypass procedures in the future.
