Cosmetic surgeries are sub group of reconstructive or plastic surgeries. They are different from plastic surgeries only in their goals. Where as the goal of ‘plastic surgery’ is to often reconstruct or save tissues and organs the goal of cosmetic surgery is to improve a person’s appearance and, thus, self-esteem. Cosmetic surgery can be performed on any part of the face and body.
