Dr Amit Bhowmik is a dedicated physician with training and insight in Emergency Medicine with a decade of experience in his field and more than two decades as a clinician. His work experience shows his versatility. Besides working in various tertiary care hospitals, he has got exposure to industrial hospitals and managed different industrial accident emergencies along with other medical emergency cases. In the past, Dr Bhowmik also led a team of accident and trauma specialists in a leading cruise ship company in Florida, US for a couple of years, thus managing different medical emergencies in and around a cruise ship. Currently, he is based in India and heading the department of Emergency Medicine in the prestigious Desun hospital. He is also an instructor for various lifesaving courses (BLS, ACLS, PALS) of American Heart Association and has been conducting and teaching for a decade now. He is also a provider of ATLS (Advanced Trauma life Support) of American College of Surgeons. He has been a part of different in-house committees like CPR committee, disaster response committee etc. Dr Bhowmik is a qualified sonologist. His other interests are health and nutrition, sports and music.
