Remain In Good Health During Monsoon

Diet

  • Do consume seasonal fruits, wash it well before consuming
  • Consume a lot of vegetables, but take care to wash it well and do not eat raw, atleast boil it well
  • Consume some spices and common food items like garlic, ginger, honey, cloves, cinnamon, lemon, warm milk these helps protect against cough and cold and also boost our immunity

  • Work-out, yoga helps in keeping us strong and healthy
  • Sleep well for adequate hours (usual advice is 8 Hours)
  • Maintain your sleep cycle
  • Dry hair and skin well after bath or getting drenched in rain
  • It is better to take a bath and use some antiseptic lotion on foot, hands and other exposed area after getting drenched in rain

  • Do wear proper clothes that support traveling in monsoon
  • Travel by usual route that is known to you to avoid potholes construction sites etc
  • Follow traffic signals while crossing roads
  • Take special precaution and be more alert in unmanned or areas with traffic signals

  • Read well about the destination and location you are traveling
  • Get your travel tickets confirmed and travel if it is possible
  • Gets your hotel booking and other travel facility like cars, buses etc as required confirmed
  • Carry dry food, drinking water and your regular and essential medicines, first-aid while traveling
  • Signage on roads may not be visible, or at times uprooted or damaged, so you can use GPS navigation, compass and other location trackers. Get it right
  • Carry your plastic currency and use proper gear to store them
